In the midst of a dark and dying world, Christ brings light and life. Through the work of his cross - his blood washes and nourishes the sinner. He brings his good news and forges a relationship with you through his Office of the Holy Ministry of Word and Sacrament. Weak and sinful men carry the good news of life in Christ to the sick and dying. They teach the faithful about their relationship to Jesus. They teach the faithful about the work Jesus does in their life through preaching and sacrament.
Young men have descended upon humble Fort Wayne for the 10th annual Christ Academy. They’re here because they love Jesus and they want to learn more about his mercy and his truth. These are men that think on theology and ponder God. They know him because of his great gospel as given them in the preaching of God’s Word into their ears. Some of them will return to CTS…maybe next year for the 11th Academy, but even some to study for the Office of the Holy Ministry. They are alive and excited because Jesus’ blood has been shed for the life of the world.
And so professors, seminary staff, and even guest lecturing professors and pastors are telling these young men that Jesus died for them. They are exploring the richness of the Christian Church and the Christian life. They are examining Jesus and how he speaks to his bride…all this and it is centered around God’s service to us in the seminary’s chapel.
Young men have traveled from Indiana, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, and Maryland…Wyoming, Michigan, South Korea, and Sweden. They have come because of Jesus’ great love for his Father and for his love for us. They have come and they are being formed by the Word and the holy Sacrament. Praise be to God! Alleluia!
