Is a modern art sculpture portraying a crucified green frog holding a beer mug and an egg art or blasphemy? Pope Benedict has an opinion, does it agree with yours? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26435994/

Good for the Pope . . . stuff like this does nothing but harm for the cause of the Church, and disrespects those who work so hard to bring a sense of revence back into the Church.

I have never been so outraged in my live at something so vial. That is my Father he is mocking. If it wasn’t for the fact I know I have done things just as hurtful to God before I became a Christian (I pray I haven’t mocked the redemptive work of my Father some way this bad) I would not be able to have any sympathy for this man. Since he made of video of crucifying himself, he is obviously a very, very sick individual. Is there any wonder he died at 43? I only hope this man was too sick to realize what he was doing and that God will have mercy on him. Perhaps he had a death bed repentance. We can only hope.

It’s just a stupid piece of art. If it were a frog holding a beer mug and an egg, I’d find it funny in a silly sense. Put it on a cross, it carries a different connotation and disrespects Christianity.
If one can produce something like this in the name of “art,” then I think that gives art a bad name.
